So, the rundown of Persacon is as follows! Next post will be leftovers from the con.

Friday, day 1:

I woke up kinda early, 9:00, and planned to be at the con by 12. Rachel and Kelley called me twice, tellin' me to hurry my ass up and get down there, since they already had the table. I finally got out of the house at 12, and got to Decatur between 12:30 and 1. A little late, but I figured fewer people would be there, because t was Saturday.

I found the Holiday Inn easy enough, since it was right after the bridge into Decatur. I parked and ran into the holiday inn to find the con and get my badge. The very nice con staff at the sign in table got me my badge and checked off that I had come to claim my table in Artists Alley. Rachel and Kelley we're already set up once I got there, and Rachel had her prints and sketchbook out on the table. Kelley was super-sweet to watch the table most of the weekend, as well as the super-lovely Angelina, who pimped us out and made people buy our stuff!

David kind of latched onto our table, and we were pretty nice about it. For a while. Eventually we decided that he was taking away our business (and making it really hard to get in the box) so on the second day we decided not to let him share for free on our fifty dollar table. (Why were tables so expensive this year???) We didn't want him to be selling 12-dollar-a-sketch run of the mill, practically identical (half-naked) cat girls when we were selling sketches for five dollars a piece. People would come to his stuff first and end up thinking that the entire table was like that. Even when he wasn't with us, he would squat at other artists tables after they would leave, which, by con rules, is an illegal thing to do. >:/

But, all in all, the selling was good. Both Rachel and I still had things left over, but we made enough to cover our expenses. For a first time thing for me, I thought that it went great! And we both know tons of better things to do next year if we decide to get a table again. Friday night was the rave, and I didn't get to sell any glow sticks, since they were selling them anyways. But I did get to wear mine and I looked AWESOME. Damn that rave was loud. Eventually though, after Kelley Rachel and I got all of our things up to the room, and I got my sleepin' stuff out of the car, we went to bed. I set my alarm and we all went to sleep with a job well done.

Day 2:

Our room was freezing. Oh my goodness. We either froze or burned up. I thinks that the Holiday Inn was trying to save money by messing with the air conditioning or something.

Hannah, Cullen and Joe were running around over at Mudkip's house where they'd been staying, trying to get everything ready for the cosplay contest. This day would be the day of my awesome pal-o-ramma with the illustrious Hannah, who is amazing, and who I will not be able to see again for some time. ;__; Between the cosplay contest, the pocky game and her abduction to space McDonald's, we became the best of buds! We both thought that the other was already in college! -__-;

Once we got the black box down to the table, and finnally put the table cloth on, our selling started again. Rachel was at the table more than me, but neither of us seemed to be at the table very much. Rachel, as the Pocky Ninja's apprentice, was toting around a GIANT STICK OF POCKY! Not that foot long, edible pocky, but a 4+ foot, choco-pocky stick! Lovingly made from a wooden dowel and brown painted tubing. It was so cute!~ Rachel was selling things out of her sketchbook for 5$, as well as taking commisions. I was selling prints, charms, candy and sketch commisions (as well as the odd manga). Angelina sold off an entire box of old manga, and made a bit of profit.

Hannah, Cullen and Joe eventually got there, and helped to rush me into my Viral Costume (I love you Hannah <3 <3 <3). We got down to cosplay prejudging tute-sweet and entered. We wouldn't have to show up for the competition till four, so we killed some time. I checked on everybody at the table, and stayed long enough to do a commission for a girl who tried to rip me of. >:[

Hannah and I then traveled to SPACE MCDONALD'S!!!! As Viral and Simon (SHE MAKES THE CUTEST SIMON!!!) but we couldn't eat till after the cosplay competition so my fries got cold. <:C

The cosplay competition was awesome! and we were one of the BEST COSPLAY GROUPS THERE! There was this one little kid who was Naruto, and he was SUPER CUTE! (If somebody has a picture of him, please send it to me!) There was an awesome Sakura as well, who had this glowing lantern covered in gold swirls. The cosplay contest in general was pretty awesome. Our group came out on stage, and the theme from our show started playing, and WE HAD NOT PLANNED IT. This is proof that Persacon loves us. c:

After the cosplay contest (and pictures!) I went up to change out of my Viral costume into something a little cooler and a little less tight. I ended up back at the table, and tried to be industrious. Did it work? Eh~...

My mom and my sister showed up after that. D: And brought us food! :D I love my family to pieces! My mom was freakin' out at some of the things she saw. 8/ Later, right after The Man Power's concert (which I didn't get to see most of) I went to, uh... speed dating? -__-; It was pretty neat though! I got to meet some nice people who I mightn't ever met at the con. This one guy, Ian, was really awesome! He was pretty fine. That one Amaro guy was also there, and he was nice. There was about two guys for every girl, so I believe my presence (and great look) was greatly apreciated. I certainly got to meet some great people! Sadly, right after speed dating (which was super loud and in a super small room, by the way) a yaoi panel was starting. Gross!!! So I booked it out of there and headed over the the ELECTRIC ATTITUDE concert, which was THE BEST THING EVER!!!

Rachel and I went to the concert, where Lauren BECKONED ME ONTO THE STAGE, where I got to stage dance THE ENTIRE CONCERT!!! <3 <3 <3 It was some girl I didn't know, Lauren, Me, Chi-bi and another member of staff. We were sexy and awesome!

After, we got the table packed up and went to sleep.

Day 3, closing:

I woke up before my alarm clock, and tackled Rachel. Kelley didn't stay with us the second night, so Rachel and I each had a bed to ourselves. We had hoped to get up early and get to see people, like Electric Attitude, and Walter Jones. Walter had an unfortunate, and undeserved run in with the law. Read hear: www.persacon.com

Closing ceremonies were good, and our group won the best anime award! I have beef with Joe, and Hannah and I are never cosplaying with him again. The sakura cosplayer got best in show, which she totally deserved! And that sweet Ino cosplayer got the Crunkest Dancer award! DID I MENTION PSYCHONAUTS? 'CAUSE NEXT YEAR, THAT IS GOIN' DOWN TOWN!

At the end of the closing ceremonies, after watching part 2 of Super Sentai and Hero 108, Cartoon Network's new show, the staff played a game where they couldn't say personal pronouns, and if they did, the rest of the staff got to hit them with foam noodles!! IT WAS INSANE!!!

Hannah, Rachel an I put the box back in the car, and we said our goodbyes to everyone! Rachel and I went back to Huntsville, but get super-lost on the way. We almost ended up in Nashville! We talked about next year, and gothic-lolita fashion on the way home.

When I got back to my house, I ate.

My Dollfie is coming!!!~ I finally persuaded my mom to let me buy one through her on ebay.

She is female, and will be named Hema, or Dolly. She is a Normal skin 27cm A-type from Volks, and she is coming with blue eyes (Which I will affix with blue sticky tack *cheap*) and little brown eye lashes!~ Adorable! She will have no hair, since I couldn't buy her a wig. ;__; Fist thing to do, make a cute little hat for her bald self! Mabey I'll put a handkerchief around her like Hikaru?

Tee-hee!~ I failed a Latin test, and my body feels dead from sickness!~~~~~~

So, everybody, I finally received my graphics tablet today.
He is a 6x8, WACOM Intuos3.
Yes I said he, it's easier to refer to him thus. Even though I haven't found a name for him yet. 9_9
But he is lovely ans sleek, and he was on order from ebay, at a reasonable price. I need to update my cafe press once I get pictures up. GLEE. My dad spent half the evening updating my computer though, UUGUGUGHGHG.
And my story writing is going well, rearranging some things within the story, finally doing and outline, good good. And my Hema dollfie should be here, as soon as I scrape money together, to actually buy her. ^-^;

I really should be happier about this.
I really should write more (or I feel that I should).
Be really i'm just worn out.

But he is lovely ans sleek, and he was on order from ebay, at a reasonable price. I need to update my cafe press once I get pictures up. GLEE. My dad spent half the evening updating my computer though, UUGUGUGHGHG.

So, today was fun, I geuss. I had to wake up really early, and go into the office. My fingers hurt from fixing up signs.

Good news, I found the best umbrella today! :D It's straight and pointy, and strong, and opens up when you hit this little button thing. SWEET.

Hamburgers for lunch, then went to diliver somthings.
A soon s we got in the car? Sprinkle to soup in five minute flat. Glad we got new tires, made for the rain!

Web sHite isn't working. It's being dificult, and ugly. That goodness it started to bleed less today, and I hope it's condition will continue to improve, however, the lack of art available is disheartening. Especially since I HAVE NO GRAPHICS TABLET!!! ::Breaths fire as her mind becomes violent:: My mind is going to shut down entirly if I don't find som way to get all of my pent upcreativity out, and I can't deal with a scanner that I CAN'T USE ANYWAY! Nor do I have ANY cooperative programs that don't bitch at me left and right.

I am a writer, or sorts, but an artist always, or I try to be. Unless of course you live with your mom and she won't buy you (Insert most loved artist thing here. Pick one, any one: Fabric, books, pencils, paper with no lines, a dollfie, Miyavi, plaster, wood, graphics tablet, ect.) what you need to be HAPPY so that you don't feel like you're going out of your head ALL THE TIME with school work waiting for something to do only because you're to young to drive and can't go out and get a stupid graphics tablet to sell your art on shitt onn CAFEPRESS.

By the way, I went to see Wicked today, in . Except my sister slapped me in my face during curtain call becsuse I was screeming so loud. But not screeming. I have to vocal cords for it, even though she says I'm going to hurt my voice I'm not because I don't even do it all the time!

But even though she hit me, and made me start crying, I still forgive her. Owie. It hit my glasses it did. '~' And Fiyero is HOT. Even though the guy that played him in this performance didn't have the same GREAT voice as the one on Broadway NY, like on the CD.
